Startup Showdown is a unique opportunity for early-stage startups to present to well-known investors and innovators in the tech ecosystem as they look to take their company to the next level. All finalists will pitch to VC investors while at the same time building long-lasting connections in the innovation ecosystem. This is the competition to be a part of, showcasing the next frontier of innovation and the most promising talent of the day.
Hosted monthly by Panoramic Ventures, there are 6 open application periods and 12 events each year.
Startup Showdown will hosted virtually on Thursday, October 28 and broadcast globally.

Dr. Paul Judge has cofounded three companies that were acquired and has invested in over 30 companies. He is Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of Pindrop. Previously Paul was cofounder of TechSquare Labs. Paul was also Co-Founder of Purewire, a web security company, that was acquired by Barracuda in 2008. Paul served as Chief Research Officer at Barracuda through its IPO in 2013. Prior to this, Paul was CTO of CipherTrust, a leader in email security, that was acquired by Secure Computing in 2006. Paul is the lead inventor of over 30 patents and has received many awards including being named to the Fortune’s Top 40 Under 40 List.
Chris Adamo is an active angel investor, advisor in dozens of high growth startups as well as a founding partner of Flamingo Capital, a Miami based Syndicate. He is the Chief Business Officer at media-tech startup WhereBy.Us and their new newsletter SaaS platform Letterhead. Prior, he spent 8 years growing corporate partnerships at 1800 Flowers.com. He is a founding partner at Social Venture Partners Miami and the Pied Pied for the Miami Tech community. He has an MBA/BA from Binghamton University and lives in Miami, FL with his wife, Randi, and 2 sons, Rhyder and Booker.
Brian Brackeen is a General Partner at Lightship Capital, the $50 million dollar Cincinnati-based VC firm dedicated to backing underrepresented entrepreneurs in the Midwest. As General Partner, Brian oversees fund operations, leads the AI, Design & Engineering teams, and serves on the investment committee. Brian is a thought leader in the Artificial Intelligence space, having founded and led a globally recognized provider of face recognition technologies. In addition to his work at Lightship, Brian lectures extensively around the world on entrepreneurship, code, the digital economy, AI and machine learning — and participates in mentorship programs for organizations like Girls Who Code, Black Girls Code and The School District of Miami, and is an advisor to the University of Chicago Science Commercialization Center.
Ana Paula González is the Director of the Softbank Miami Initiative, building out the early-stage investment platform for the group in the Magic City.
Previously, Ana spent 4+years at 500 Startups, one of the most active VC investors globally. At 500, she held a variety of roles that included launching the 500 Miami office, leading the Global Ecosystem and Accelerator Programs, and launching the global Managed Funds.
Previous to 500, Ana spent 4 years developing the impact investing field in Latin America, leading investment and acceleration programs for for-profit social and environmental companies. Ana started her career at The Boston Consulting Group, where she worked with clients in Private Equity, financial services and non-profit sectors.
Ana holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with honors and a Bachelor in International Business from Tec de Monterrey with honors.
Since founding BIP Capital in 2006, Mark has built what is now Panoramic into the region’s most active Venture Capital firm and one of the most recognized brands in venture capital outside of Silicon Valley. Mark has led investment rounds in more than 80 companies in numerous industries (Healthcare, Digital Media, Ed Tech, Enterprise SaaS, FinTech and Advanced Computing). Notable investments include Vendormate, Ingenious Med, QA Symphony/Tricentis, PlayOn! Sports, Huddle Tickets, Tropical Smoothie Café, Cypress.io, ConnexPay, REACH Health, Trella Health, Shareholder InSite and Aspirion Health Resources. Mark graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology (where he lettered as a varsity baseball player) and received an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
